Yoga Group & Private Classes
About
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, I started my yoga adventure in 2012. My friend took me to my first yoga class. I did not enjoy my first class and left thinking that yoga was for the birds. In 2013, I decided to give bikram yoga a try. I quickly fell in love with the intense workout and extreme heat. I felt centered and strong. After a few months, I grew bored with the same practice everytime and started looking for something different.
That's when I found Suncrest Yoga. I enjoyed the vigorous vinyasa flow and heat of the room. I also enjoyed that fact that the classes were different every time. Then I started incorporating yoga into my weekly workout rountine and found a new sense of self.
It wasn’t until the summer of 2014 that I considered teaching yoga. I attended a private paddle board yoga session on Cheat Lake and the sense of peace with the water made me feel connected.
After that, I decided to fully focus on yoga and add more to my weekly workout routine. In December of 2014, I signed up for a teacher training and practiced most days from then until her training began in January. I completed my 200 RYT in May of 2015 and have been teaching in the classroom, on the dock, and on the paddle board since.
I want to bring light and energy to my students. I want to share what I've found in my own practice with others. I like to teach my classes in a way that encourages laughter and accepting exactly where the student is. I hope that my students can find peace of mind for the hour that they spend on the mat with me, and let that carry into all aspects of their lives.
